New Resident Evil Showcase Packed with Details
Hey gamers and welcome back as we return to another Resident Evil Showcase. The last time we got some juicy details on the enemies and of course, demo’s to try out. This time around we have new details and gameplay footage for the upcoming Resident Evil Village. This new showcase gives gamers a glimpse at a popular game mode called, “The Mercenaries” which returns to Resident Evil Village. Also instore is a limited-time demo coming to all platforms on May 1st. However, PlayStation players will have early access on April 17th. Being that it is the 25th anniversary of Resident Evil, so get ready for what this showcase has to offer.
What’s in the showcase?
The latest trailer for Resident Evil Village pulls fans deeper into the enigmatic locale with a peek at the diversity of environments and enemies players will encounter. New footage provided clues to an immense underground factory possibly mass producing humanoid creatures, and a vast man-made lake barely concealing what appears to be a colossal aquatic monster. The mysterious man from the January Resident Evil Showcase is revealed to be Heisenberg. Though his name is now known, his role remains unclear in protagonist Ethan Winters’ quest to find his daughter. Series veteran Chris Redfield also makes an appearance with questionable motives, creating more mystery as to what his role is.
The showcase today offered an abundance of information especially with the Resident Evil demo coming to all platforms on April 17th. This demo will have an 8-hour to play 30 minutes for every section. In addition to the 25th anniversary of Resident Evil. Capcom has announced for the Oculus Quest 2 is getting Resident Evil 4. I know for sure that is going to be one scary experience, more so having to escort the President’s daughter. We shall see what features come out of that.
Resident Evil™ 4 will be available later this year on Oculus Quest 2, the next generation of all-in-one VR. More details will be shared during the Oculus Gaming Showcase at 3 pm PT on April 21 on Twitch, Facebook, and YouTube.
Resident Evil Extras:
Resident Evil continues its collaboration with other major game industry IP as a partnership with Behaviour Interactive brings Capcom’s survival horror series to asymmetrical horror game Dead by Daylight. In broader entertainment, a new trailer for Netflix’s RESIDENT EVIL: Infinite Darkness anime series made its debut today.
This is some interesting news being that the new Resident Evil animated series is well anticipated. Nothing like Umbrella bringing zombies to the Capital and invading the white house. Showing off the styles of Claire and Leon teaming up once again. Then we get a surprise reveal of a cross-up with Dead by Daylight as resident evil invades the 4 vs. 1 horror game. Which monster you think will be involved? I am betting on someone from Resident Evil 7. I would say Nemesis, but that is too OP for that game.
Either way, pre-orders are now live for Resident Evil Village and you can check out the full showcase below. You the player will have your choice between digital or physical of Standard, Deluxe Edition, and Collectors.
The digital Deluxe Edition includes the base game and a digital add-on “Trauma Pack,” which consists of additional in-game content including a Samurai Edge weapon, Resident Evil 7 biohazard-inspired found footage screen filter, tape recorder save point option, immediate access to an especially challenging difficulty setting, and more.
Again Resident Evil Village will drop on May 7th, 2021, and I hope to see you on release day. – Beast Out –
