New Monster Hunter World: Iceborne New Subspecies and More
Good Morning fellow hunters and welcome back. Capcom has sent me new updates for the upcoming expansion of Monster Hunter World: Iceborne which will be out this fall. If you missed out on the beta you can see my video by clicking here. So, what is in this lovely update? Well let’s check out the trailer.
Iceborne’s New Paradise
We go from a warmer climent to a new area in a winter wonderland. Do not worry we will still venture out to the previous areas of MHW. However from what I experienced with my colleague of the Sauce Squad. Iceborne is a new world in itself now with the ability of Hot Drinks, rideable subspecies and so much more. The video you just saw showed off the new gathering hubs, the hot springs which is a relaxing spot for any hunter to unwind and of course the new monsters.
Subspecies monsters join the roster in Iceborne, offering extreme, twisted variations that amp up the difficulty and require master-level hunting skills to defeat. The latest trailer provides a peek at just two of the ferocious variants that await: the electrifying brute wyvern Fulgur Anjanath channels lightning instead of fire and the fanged wyvern Ebony Odogaron is more vicious than ever with a wider attack range and dragon elemental. In addition to these fearsome subspecies, the fiery Glavenus, whose distinguishable roar was teased in the previous story trailer, wields its sword-like tail to wipe out hunters with its trademark sweep attack.
Anjanath was a whole problem in the beginning, but now we have a new elemental Anjanath with electrical powers? I think I rather deal with the fire, because if many of you know that the electrical can cause paralaysis and that is no good. I am already thinking about the combos Anjanath will preform once we are stunned.
My favorite monster in MHW was Odogaron a.k.a Old Dog as I called it. Odogaron gets a new upgrade being an Ebony monster with a higher difficulty, now this doesn’t phase me at all. I will hunt it and get that sweet armor for my own which I believe will be at master level.
As part of the cozy new Seliana home base in Hoarfrost Reach, a streamlined Gathering Hub offers a warm welcome for hunting parties with more centralized facilities and features. Built around an interactive hot spring, hunters and Palicoes can conveniently manage all the pre-hunt necessities in close proximity such as the Smithy to craft gear, resource center to manage bounties or botanical research to harvest items. “My Room” is also accessible and features new personalization options such as furniture, décor, and colors, with a post-launch update planned to allow other players to visit each other’s spaces.
We get a holiday hunters!! An all in one gather hub where everything is in one place not having to worry about go to different floors for items or smithing. This is great news to me as well as the “My Room” features which were already amazing commedations. Now with a more customization options? I would not mind a trophy room of certain hunts that would be cool .
Further gameplay options offer additional flexibility for multiplayer hunting parties. A series-first scaling balanced difficulty which will adapt for a two-player team if others have dropped out or if a duo sets out to tackle a quest with their Palicoes in tow. The furry sidekicks will also get upgraded gadgets and new options such as theShieldspire Stooge, a mobile decoy that draws a monster’s attention away from the player, the Meowcano, a giant jar that shoots out fireballs at enemies, and an enhanced Vigorwasp that can revive players immediately back into battle if they faint. New Squad Cards featuring info on the respective team can be sent to invite others to join the group, similar to how Guild Cards for each hunter can be traded individually. Sub-leaders have been added for Squad teams and can share duties on recruiting and accepting team requests.
THE GOOP OF LIFE as I call it now. I swear that beta showed us so much that we can do and being that now Palico’s can slime us down like slimmer from ghostbusters and revive us back into battle instantly. That is such a saving grace, but do not abuse it because there is a limit. I love animation of my Palico Boen when he drops the green glop and as I stand up, he puts his hands up like a pastor saying, “YOU ARE HEALED!!” It is adorable.
In that, Monster Hunter World: Iceborne will be available globally on the PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system and the Xbox One family of devices, including Xbox One X on September 6th, 2019. Do not worry PC players you will obtain your game in the following winter! – Beast Out –
