Monster Hunter World Iceborne Beta Hits PS4
Oh baby, in the words of Phineas and Ferb, welcome hunters to Swinter as the Monster Hunter World Iceborne beta brings winter to use a bit early for just one weekend. I am okay with this and was hoping that Capcom would release something for us to try out and shoutout to my homie Damien for sharing the content at the same time as I received the PR email.
Iceborne Beta Weekend
Grab your thermals and hot drinks! Capcom today confirmed details for upcoming PlayStation®4 beta sessions, starting this week, for Monster Hunter World: Iceborne, the highly anticipated massive expansion to Capcom’s best-selling title of all time, Monster Hunter: World. First-time hunters and established series fans can prepare for hunting season with a sneak peek at the upcoming content in Iceborne, including the chilly Hoarfrost Reach locale, new monster and new gameplay options.
I am going to need a sweater this weekend because it is going to be a bit chilly while hunting. This will be an exclusive beta for PlayStation Plus users starting 6 AM EST on Friday, June 21st, 2019 until 6 AM Monday, June 24th, 2019. Do not fret those without PlayStation Plus, because the beta will go live to everyone on Friday, June 28th at 6 AM EST until Monday, July 1st at 6 AM EST. You will be granted a preload option a few days before the beta begins. Another string of good news is that you will not need Monster Hunter World in order to participate in Icebourne Beta.
The beta offers players three quest choices, including the beginner-friendly Great Jagras hunt from Monster Hunter: World for newcomers, the brand new horned brute wyvern Banbaro for an intermediate challenge or returning series favorite Tigrex for the fiercest of hunters. The beta will let players test out all 14 weapon types in any of the three quests and the training area. The weapons include new features plus there are new Slinger tool options such as the Clutch Claw grapple mechanic. Upon completing each quest for the first time, hunters can earn a total of three item packs containing helpful consumable items that will be available to use in the full version of the Iceborne expansion when it releases. With more monsters and game info to be revealed, this is just the tip of the Iceborne!
I am just dizzy with anticipation finding out we are going to utilize all the goodies in the beta. The clutch claws new feature to latch on to monsters for new attacks is going to be fun! In that pre-orders are now live which you can click here. Monster Hunter World: Iceborne will be released on September 6th, 2019 for PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system and the Xbox One family of devices, including Xbox One X, globally on September 6th, 2019, with a PC release to follow in winter.
You will need Monster Hunter World base game in order to play Icebourne and keep in mind that you are required to finish the base game before enjoying the joys of winter. I hope this post special shout out to capcom for the details and looking forward to hunting with you this weekend which I will be streaming on my twitch channel. – Beast Out –
