Monster Hunter Rise x Street Fighter V Akuma Collab
How’s it going fellow hunters? It has been a long while since I came back to talk about the new DLC Collab. Now, what is so fab about this new collab well, we get to freaking throw hands with Monsters as I always wanted…kind of. Akuma invades the world of Monster Hunter Rise with special High-Rank layered armor. In the Nintendo GamesCom trailer, we got to see him throw Hadokens, do Hurricane Kicks and Shoryuken. Here is the trick with all that, it is a sword and shield feature to do the punches and perform wirebug effects for his special moves. As with many of the weapons, you will have to switch out abilities before each mission.
Akuma invades Monster Hunter Rise:
There is not much else that can be said. It is a pretty simple DLC event where you have to fight an HR Rajang in the quest called “SF: Ultimate Promotion Exam“. Once you defeat the Rajang you are awarded Satsuo No Hado gems. There are 4 required to build the layered armor and sometimes you might get lucky and get 3 in one match. So, it will take you 2 matches maybe 3 depending on your luck. Because sometimes you are hit with the want curse if you know what I mean. So, Dameian and I squad up with some Randoms to obtain this magnificent armor set, and here is a video displaying our might of the Satsuo No Hado.
I laugh because I had the wrong colors for this armor set. I wish there was a way to dedicate the pigments to just one armor set at a time, but it is what it is. The best part about this set is you can use any sword and shield weapon. It makes sense to use a sword and shield for this particular character. The moves of the S&S feels like the Satsujinken also known as “Murderous Fist“. I will have to go into the training armor to practice some more since I am mostly a dual blade or hammer user in rise. This armor set is available right now as a free update to Monster Hunter Rise. Go forth and channel your inner Akuma. For now, enjoy the free content, and let’s see what comes next. My score for this DLC is 4 out of 5 paws. – Beast Out –
