Monster Hunter Rise and Monster Hunter Stories 2 Special Event
Hello fellow hunters and welcome to this update! Monster Hunter Rise and Monster Hunter Stories 2 had a nice event today giving out full details of things to come. Of course, your resident hunter is here to share my insight on the news today.
March Monster Hunter Digital Event
Developers of Monster Hunter Rise and Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin went live with new information for their upcoming titles. In this post, we shall touch base with the new Rampage Quest type, game features, and of course happy news of a second demo releasing. All exciting things coming out in today’s news.
Let’s jump right into the Rampage Quest type. In this mode, you will need to team up with the villagers of Kamura to prepare defenses. These defensive installations and Stronghold barricades will help guard through waves of invading monsters. This will include any Apex monsters that may arrive during the siege.
A number of new gameplay feature details were revealed for Monster Hunter Rise today. In addition to the initial “Silkbind Attacks” available to all 14 weapon types, hunters will unlock new “Switch Skills” for each weapon as they progress through the game. By swapping out these new skills with existing Silkbind or regular attacks, players can create all-new combos and strategies that match their preferred playstyle. Monster Hunter Rise will also include dynamic difficulty scaling for multiplayer, which automatically adjusts as new players enter and exit a hunt. The new “Hunter Connect” feature will allow players to create tags with their objectives and playstyle, search for other players with the same tags or invite friends to any tags they have joined. Upon completing a quest in multiplayer, players will also be able to like the other hunters in their party and increase the likelihood of finding each other in matchmaking. Finally, players can capture their heroic accomplishments and the vibrant beauty of Monster Hunter Rise with the camera feature.
Exciting new abilities indeed to look forward to. Also in the event, we got a recap of all the monsters being featured in Monster Hunter Rise. We shall see the return of Khezu, Nargacuga, and Zinogre. As well as a long-time Elder Dragon Chameleos, that devious monster.
The best news of the event is that we hunters will be getting more playtime with a second demo coming out this week. March 11th, 2021 the Monster Hunter Rise demo goes live once again featuring a new quest. We shall face off against Magnamalo which will be a new level of difficulty for seasoned hunters.
Be ready for our playthrough of the Monster Hunter Rise demo and you can see myself and my friends tackle the new difficulty.
Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin
Ah yes, the long-awaited sequel comes Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin which set us on an epic journey with Razewing Rathalos. Also a return of the self-proclaimed hero Navirou the felyne warrior. Expect some co-op as well which is a long thing coming to be honest.
Following the trailer, Ryozo revealed the content contained in the Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin Deluxe Edition, preorder bonus, three amiibo figures releasing alongside the game, and save-data link reward for players of Monster Hunter Rise. The deluxe edition will include Razewing layered armor sets and a Nergigante-inspired hairstyle for players, the Kuan Coat outfit for your Wyverian companion Ena, two new outfits for Navirou, and two sticker sets depicting the various companions’ players will encounter through their journey. Players who preorder Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin on either platform will receive the Kamura maiden outfit for Ena, while players on Nintendo Switch will be able to unlock three different sets of layered armor and daily bonuses using the new Ena, Razewing Ratha, and Tsukino amiibo figures.
