Improvements to Guilty Gear Strive Second Beta
The second beta for Guilty Gear Strive is over and now we are just waiting for the initial release on June 11th. Honestly, it was a smart call to delay the game to touch up a few things that were needed. However, there were still some concerns while playing.
Guilty Gear Strive the long wait
I was a bit worried at first because before even getting into the main menu of the game you had to wait to connect to the server which took a long time. However, once in we had the offline option and network menu. I did most of my training offline with the new characters Anji and I-No. Both were not bad but I could not figure out the combo system for Anji too well. He isn’t my main anyway it was just interesting seeing him make a comeback.
Anji Moto to me is technical with move sets that force you to go in directions which he has an anti-air. I mean arc system works did an awesome breakdown of Anji with all his move sets. The butterfly that he sends out with quarter-circle P is a good bait which is a slow-moving projectile. Once it hits you it will drop down power and a fast eagle to do more damage. he does have a tricky parry that takes some of your tension which is a half-circle then forward with Slash. This will go into a nice parry combo attack that you can lead into a nice combo.
I-No the Witch Rock Goddess is pretty fun to play. I-No has a lot of fun fight mechanics which she has a morphing ability with her band gear. Most of her moves are anti-air as when you dash she goes right into the air. When that happens immediately hit quarter-circle forward with K or S or HS. Both K and S will do a spiral dive kick and the Hard Slash will perform a straight torpedo move. Chain these attacks properly to get the big damage numbers. I-No has two major supers both using bottom half-circle back then forward pressing either Slash or Hard Slash to execute different moves.
Again not one of my mains but I am tempted to give her more lab work when the game finally drops. However, you can check my video below as I dive deeper into Guilty Gear Strive and I hope you all enjoyed it. If you played please share your thoughts below and we can discuss. – Beast Out –
