Guilty Gear Strive Cross-Platform Beta Returns

Good morning FGC. In today’s news, we have Guilty Gear -Strive- Cross-platform Network test making a return on Feb. 3rd through the 6th, 2023. This will be a free-to-download network test giving you the chance to take on players on PS4/PS5, Xbox systems, and PC. 

Guilty Gear -Strive- Cross-plat Test:

We previously took part in the Guilty Gear -Strive- Cross-Platform network test which had to be a separate download from the main game you can check out our video below. Let’s take a look at the overview.

“This network open beta test will feature online multiplayer between players on the different PlayStation 4/PlayStation 5/Steam/Xbox Series X|S/Xbox One/Windows Platforms. The Beta test will be held using a separate application from the Guilty Gear -Strive- game, which will be available for download from the stores on each platform. The Application download and beta test participation will be available for free to anyone, even if they haven’t purchased the game. This would be a great chance to invite a friend to play with you!”

• Schedule (PDT):
  • Feb. 3, 2023 10:00 to Feb. 6, 2023, 16:00
  • The application is separate from the main game. It will be available for download via the store on each platform. 
• Playable Characters: 
  • 22 characters, including additional DLC characters. 

Final Thoughts:

The previous beta went on smoothly and since Guilty Gear – Strive- is coming to Xbox Game Pass soon, it is about that time to test out the full capacity. Can’t wait to have players all across platforms, because Guilty Gear has always been a personal favorite of mine. Lastly here are a few notes to keep in mind. 

• Notes:
  • Online multiplayer is available without a PSN Subscription and that is the same for Xbox, you will not need a Gold subscription to play. 
  • A network connection is required though, but that should be a given. 
  • Although the application and online multiplayer are available for free, customers are responsible for their network connection fees…uhhhh I mean, that also should be a given. 
  • Save data cannot be carried over to the main game. Now, this is important because I have been asked about this, and yea no, this is a separate application from the purchased game. 
  • The contents of Guilty Gear -Strive- Cross-Platform Network Open Beta Test may differ from the main game.
